For the first time, the Panathenaic Stadium will be transformed into a living canvas of contemporary art on March 18
Coinciding with the official opening of Nicholas Kontaxis’ exhibition Catch Me at the Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation, an impressive projection show will take place on the evening of March 18, marking, according to the organizers, a significant moment on the city’s cultural map. The work Yes I Can will be presented on a monumental scale, turning the iconic stadium into a dazzling visual experience filled with color, emotion, and inspiration.

Nicholas Kontaxis, a Forbes 30 Under 30 artist, stands as a symbol of strength, resilience, and artistic freedom. Despite being diagnosed with a brain tumor in infancy and experiencing over 75,000 seizures throughout his life, he has built an internationally acclaimed artistic career. Through his work, he transforms challenges into creativity and proves that art knows no limits, restrictions, or exclusions. As noted in the official press release, Yes I Can carries a message of perseverance, endurance, and ultimate triumph. It represents a universal call to action for anyone facing obstacles, whether disability, illness, trauma, or any other adversity—reminding us that the human spirit is capable of greatness, regardless of the odds.
The projection will be open to the public, inviting Athenians and visitors alike to be part of a historic cultural event that unites art, inclusion, sports, and history. The Panathenaic Stadium, a symbol of Greece’s athletic and cultural heritage, becomes the ideal canvas to project a global message about the power of human will.
