Nicholas Kontaxis
Nicholas is a young American abstract painter with a wonderful understanding of the colour palette. His works are mostly large scale and there is something harmonious yet disruptive about his compositions that mean you see something new each time you look at them. The incredible thing about Nicholas is that he was born with an extensive brain tumour that has resulted in him suffering over 50,000 seizures during his lifetime. He uses paint as a way to communicate. His work is collected by big foundations and by the likes of Roger Federer. People just love his work: it’s beautiful and his use of colour is just phenomenal.
