The Backstory
Isolation and stigma are part and parcel for those who suffer from physical and mental disabilities. The compassion that this poignant title invokes can only be uttered by one who has experienced it. Interestingly, this work is a tapestry of diverse elements – acrylic paint mingles with spices and ink, as if the canvas itself is reaching out through a multitude of sensory languages. The amalgamation of materials echoes a profound yearning, each medium a potential bridge to the world beyond the artist’s isolation.
